Khoj Director Pooja Sood joins the International Advisory Board of the Prince Claus Fund along with 8 other inspiring individuals, invited from the Fund’s global community of changemakers. They will be advising the organisation on future strategic decisions, reflect on the relevance of our mission, and offer valuable insight into the local contexts of the regions Prince Claus Fund works in.
Collaboration, critical reflection, and continuous learning has always been the core values of the Fund work. The International Advisory Board embodies the “nothing about us without us” principle and will help the Fund further learn from the communities they serve, directly involving the changemakers hailing from some of the key localities the Fund works in.
Representing various geographical regions, disciplines, themes, and backgrounds, the International Advisory Board members possess excellent track records, have a longstanding connection or history with the Fund, and can reflect on the current strategy and the general role of the Prince Claus Fund in a global context. Members have experience with and knowledge of engaged cultural practice and community building and can advise on working with Prince Claus Fund’s emerging practitioners through Seed Awards as well as further develop the Fund’s mid-career artist’s programmes through Mentorship Awards.
The International Advisory Board will meet both online and in person throughout their two-year appointment period. The in-person meeting will be at the Prince Claus Biennial Symposium— this year the Symposium takes place in Sri Lanka in December 2023 and then at the Impact Awards Ceremony—taking place in Amsterdam in December 2024.
