In a world where tracking technologies promise total capture of movement and presence, ‘Osamenta’ emerges as a performative practice that inhabits precisely what escapes geometrization. This project, extending from previous research in Estilo (2024), repurposes digital distance measurement tools not to translate the body faithfully, but to explore what resists documentation.

Within a field of body-based exploration that seeks to grasp movement through reason, Osamenta considers the spine and its bones as what remains in the dark, whether inside the flesh or beneath the ground, reaching our understanding only through abstraction and idealization. Thus, this iteration unfolds as a search for what rises from beneath, for that which escapes our desire for comprehension, questioning both the technological drive to apprehend and the technical rigor of embodied practice to make sense of it. Osamenta attempts to establish a dialogue between machine, reason, and movement: a fleeting glimpse where technology and technique intersect to see how much light they can cast into the deep.
