The co-listening gathering at KHOJ takes on a hybrid form that blends a collective listening session, a workshop, and a rituality of togetherness. It unfolds as a vernacular, multi-voiced experience intended to intersect perspectives and amplify resonances among participants. The encounter will be activated by Francesca Ceccherini and Kaur Chimuk, who intertwine their artistic and curatorial researches to explore shared concerns, such as rituals around listening as a slow form of resistance and sound-performative practices as forms of repair. This research project Co-listening: Sound Practices and Processes of Repair from the Indian Subcontinent is granted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture under the Italian Council program (14th edition, 2025), which aims to promote Italian contemporary art worldwide Special thanks to Suvani Suri for the support, the dialogue, and the bridge-building.Ph credit: Kaur Chimuk, in collaboration with ‘ Of Glimmers and Gateways’ : an evening dinner meeting with anchors and thresholds.
