Open Call: Production & IT Manager
Khoj is looking for a Production & IT Manager to oversee the technical, logistical, and operational requirements of its programmes and physical space. The role will work closely with the Programme and Media teams to ensure that exhibitions, residencies, events, and other activities are delivered smoothly and that Khoj’s technical infrastructure and IT systems are well maintained.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and overseeing the production and technical requirements of exhibitions, residencies, events, workshops, and public programmes.
- Coordinating with artists, curators, technicians, vendors, fabricators, and other external collaborators on production requirements.
- Managing installation, deinstallation, equipment, materials, and technical logistics for programmes.
- Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of Khoj’s production equipment, AV systems, and other technical infrastructure.
- Managing Khoj’s IT systems, including computers, software, internet, networking, data storage, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintaining an inventory of technical equipment, tools, and production resources, and ensuring their proper storage and upkeep.
- Coordinating with external IT, AV, fabrication, and technical service providers when specialised support is required.
- Developing production timelines, budgets, and logistical plans in consultation with the Programme and Operations teams.
- Ensuring that production and technical requirements are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Supporting the team with technical requirements for presentations, screenings, talks, workshops, and hybrid/online programmes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve Khoj’s production processes, IT infrastructure, and technical systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in production, technical management, IT, arts administration, events, or a related field.
- Experience working with exhibitions, cultural programmes, events, or creative organisations is preferred.
- Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight timelines.
- Good understanding of basic IT systems, hardware, networking, AV equipment, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Please Note: This is a full-time, on-site position at Khoj Studios, New Delhi. The role may require flexible working hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, depending on programme requirements.
