The June iteration of The Feminist Parlour explored Listening as Feminist Practice, facilitated by Madhuri Adwani and Ruchika Negi from The Third Eye. The session delved Into listening not just as a method, but as a mode of inquiry, presence, and care — one that deepens our relationship with the field, the self, and the world.
Drawing on Nirantar Radio’s evocative audio pieces—voice notes, performances, stories, and soundscapes—the session invited participants to consider what becomes possible through sound. Can listening illuminate the embodied nature of experience in ways that images cannot? Can it reveal layers of the ‘field’—beyond issues and margins—towards a more expansive, reflexive terrain?
