The 5th edition of The Feminist Parlour was about Space, Time and Agency in Feminist Co-creation and delved into questions of how we map our spaces — intimate, sensorial, prohibited, and erotic. What role does time play in these mappings? How is movement marked on the maps we carry with us at all times?
In conversation with Santra Chaurthiya and Nasreen Parveen and facilitated by Shabani Hassanwalia, the session explored the politics of space and time as experienced in their journeys of narrative-making. Together, the participants reflected on what the processes of making and telling do to our interpretations of lived experience, and examined the varying, shifting meanings of agency within feminist co-creation. The session also included screening of two films – ‘Raat: Night time in small town India’ and ‘Terrace View’.
