Open Call Peers 2025


We are pleased to announce that Khoj is now accepting applications from young emerging creative practitioners, final year MFA students (and those who graduated 2 years ago) and self-taught artists with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, for the 21st edition of the Peers artist residency.

This year, the Peers residency will be 6-week long and will provide emerging artists a platform for dialogue, experimentation and exchange.

Applications are now open for 5 Artists-in-Residence, and 1 Critic-in-Residence.

Application requirements for Artists-in-Residence

  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • Portfolio — Up to 10 images of previous works not exceeding 5 MB (each) to 25 MB (for videos). Each work must have a short concept note or explanatory text accompanying it (.pdf format) OR a pdf of images (25MB limit) along with the concept note and/or explanatory text.
  • Statement of Purpose — A one-page Statement of Purpose with up to 500 words describing your reasons for applying to the residency, the influences on your work, its current direction, and your research interests
    OR
    A 3-5 minutes long video or audio presentation describing your reasons for applying to the residency, the influences on your work, its current direction, and your research interests.
  • 2 References (contact details only).

Application requirements for Critic-in-Residence

  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • A one-page Statement of Purpose with up to 1500 words describing your reasons for applying to the program and elaborating on the influences on your work, its current direction, and your research interests.
  • 1 recent piece of academic or non-academic writing (published or unpublished; up to 1500 words).
  • 2 References (contact details only).
