The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) currently has four open calls for applications – the FICA Inlaks Goldsmiths Scholarship 2016-17 and the Ila Dalmia FICA Research Grant 2016 for curators and researchers; the Emerging Artist Award 2016 and Public Art Grant 2016 for artists and other creative practitioners. FICA in partnership with Inlaks and Goldsmiths, University of London, invites applications for FICA Inlaks Goldsmiths Scholarship 2016-17. The Scholarship will support an Indian student who will be part of the one year M.Res in Curatorial/Knowledge program at Goldsmiths, University of London, starting September 2016.  This is a full funding opportunity available to Indian students interested in the C/k programme with the focus on curation and research. FICA invites applicantions for Emerging Artist Award 2016 which seeks to promote young artists studying or practicing in India who demonstrate extraordinary skill and promise in the visual arts. The recipient gets the opportunity to travel and work at an international residency and exhibit in a solo show in India. This award is presented in collaboration with Pro Helvetia – Swiss Arts Council, New Delhi and Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi. Download Application Form

FICA invites applications for Ila Dalmia FICA Research Grant 2016. This grant was instituted by FICA with the support of art historian and curator Yashodhara Dalmia in the memory of her sister Ila Dalmia, aims to provide an annual grant to support research on Indian modern and contemporary art. The grant provides a sum of Rs. Two lakhs and will focus on supporting independent one research project a year by students and scholars in India. Download Application Form

FICA invites applications for the Public Art Grant 2016 which is aimed at supporting art projects located in the public realm in India. Through the grant, FICA aims to generate interest in public art projects, and initiate an open debate among artists, local communities and the larger public to engage with shared environments in new ways. The recipient of the grant will receive a maximum of Rs. 3 lakhs for the project detailed in their application. The period of the grant is one year (01 January – 31 December 2017).
