Adit Dewan is a filmmaker and curator from Bangladesh. He belongs to the Chakma indigenous community of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. He is the co-founder and the director of the Hill Film Festival and HFF School of Film and Visual Arts. He was selected as a Goethe Pop-Up Curator in 2021 by the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh and received Prince Claus Fund Seed Awards in 2022 from the Prince Claus Fund, Netherlands. His curatorial practice focuses indigenous language, culture and politics. Though, he believes in exploring filmmaking from many dimensions, he practices and promotes filmmaking in indigenous languages. Not Only the Ants’ Story (54 minutes, hybrid, 2024) is his recent film.
