Bio
Affan is a designer whose creative practice is socially engaged. He considers himself responsible for giving a voice to those who are silenced or unheard. His true interest lies in structural change for the good of communities that allows more interaction between people, design, and society. Affan believes that good design has the capacity to alter the way we function in a society. He started the 60 Second Intl. Film Festival in 2012, which grew into a platform that involves individuals, especially the youth in working towards social change, using film as medium. The work created here focusses on addressing critical social issues pertaining to a wide range of themes: education, civic sense, health, art, water, gender, extremism, entertainment, and current affairs.
