Having completed her BFA (major in miniature painting) at the NCA in 1997, Aisha went on to teach miniature painting there as well as at the Al–khair University in Lahore. She then did a two-year residency at the Rijks Academy in Amsterdam, where she made her video piece conversation. Over the past few years she has emerged as one of the leading contemporary miniature painters in Pakistan and has exhibited in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Fukuoka.
