Bio
Amrutha is an artist, art conservator, and museologist. She is currently working as a curator at the Heritage Museum, NIMHANS Bengaluru, which documents the histories of NIMHANS and mental health in India, and works as a platform for spreading awareness on mental health. Amrutha is currently involved in upgrading the museum with interactive displays and devising innovative ways of engaging with the public on the topic of the human brain and the behavioural sciences using art as a connecting bridge. She obtained her BFA in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat in 2007, an MA in Fine Museology from M.S. University, Baroda in 2009, and an MVA in Painting from Bangalore University in 2011. She worked as an art conservator for four years at ICI Bangalore, and as a freelancer, museum consultant, and art educator. Traveling to and exploring different places and their cultures are her other interests.
