Ashvin Rajagopalan founded Ashvita, a fine art gallery, retail store, and restaurant brand with three locations in Chennai. He has curated over 50 shows of modern and contemporary Indian art. Rajagopalan has worked with emerging artists in Chennai and has authored two books on artists C Douglas and C Krishnaswamy. He is also the Director of the Piramal Art Foundation which is based in Mumbai and houses one of the most important collections of modern Indian art. His role in the Foundation includes facilitating acquisitions, documentation and research, curation, and building an art programme. He is a graduate of Fine Art from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
