ASM Rezaur Rahman


Bio

ASM Rezaur Rahman is the Curatorial Director of Chobi Mela, Asia’s largest international festival of photography. He has designed and curated many national and international projects such as ‘Tales from a Globalising World’ – the mobile exhibition for Swiss Development Cooperation, ‘Jobra to Oslo’ – a permanent exhibition for Grameen Bank, and ‘Do you see my world?’ – a photo-voice of adolescents in Bangladesh for UNICEF. One of his works designed for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, ‘Spor’, won a national award in Norway in 2002. He has more than a decade’s experience in print publishing, with a specialisation in graphic design. The book Kantaji Temple designed by Reza, was selected by the Daily Star as the best presentation of the year in 2005. He was also the Managing Editor of Cartoon, the country’s leading satire magazine. Currently, Reza is the General Manager of Drik and a Lecturer on Curatorial Practice and Publishing at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute.
