Emdadul Hoque Topu

Bio
Topu is a new media artist and researcher whose curatorial practice critically engages with questions of cultural erasure, climate vulnerability, and the enduring legacies of colonialism in South Asia. With a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, his work highlights underrepresented narratives and explores how archives can be reimagined from a static record of the past into a speculative space for alternative historical narratives. Rooted in decolonial methodologies, Topu blends memory work, cultural activism, and creative expression to reframe dominant narratives and spotlight stories of resilience. His curatorial approach fosters critical engagement with socio-political and climate discourses through contemporary visual culture.
