Marzia Farhana was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh 1985.

Farhana is a visual artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She started her art education in Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Throughout the years, besides her traditional art practices in the faculty, she developed her own practices in different media including paintings, installations and video works. She explored and investigated her interpretations of art by discussing, collaborating and interchanging ideas and activities with her fellow artists and friends in Dhaka. In continuation of this process with her first prominent group show was ‘Young Dhaka’ 2011 in Faculty of Fine Arts. After that her first dynamic forms of works have been exhibited in one of the most influential art event in Dhaka, called ‘Only God Can Judge Me’ in 2012. Thus she was able to cross the boundaries, overcome the distance between the East and West; she was privileged to study in Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. In 2014 she has graduated in MA Fine Art from this university with a prize for Innovation in Fine Art. Most recently in 2015 Royal College of Arts in UK have offered her an MPhil course to continue her research project.
