Gayatri is a trained engineer, an experienced business manager, and a self-taught photographer. In 2015, Gayatri became actively involved in bringing art to public spaces in Chennai through multiple projects in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Chennai. She is currently the founding Trustee of Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation as well as Director of Operations for the Biennale. At the foundation she leads all the children’s programming. This includes conducting photography workshops, building arts curriculum and creating a community of young artists, learners and photographers.
