Helmut Dick (b. 1969) is a visual artist based in Amsterdam. His work contains different mediums and strategies such as performance, workshops, sculptures, installation, video and photography. Helmut Dick studied Fine Arts at the Sandberg Institute (Master Degree) and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (both in Amsterdam) . He was nominated for the Prix de Rome Netherlands 2003 in two categories and won the basic prize sculpture. His works and projects have been shown internationally at expositions, film festivals and in public spaces. The main theme of the artist’s work unpacks our complex and changing relationship to ‘nature’.
