Bio

Iqbal Geoffr ey is the only Paris Biennial Laureate (1965) left alive in Asia. He is a self-taught artist, although he is a distinguished Fine Arts Professor at six universities. In 1962 he was included in the Who’s Who In America. Sir Herbert Read has called him an “Astonishing Phenomenon.” Geoffrey graduated with high honors from Harvard Law School in 1966 and practices only public interest law (without remuneration) and is one of the three lawyers mentioned by (Chief Justice of England) Lord Woolf and Sir Jeffrey Jowell in the iconic De Smith: Judicial Review Of Administrative Action. He has had over 210 solo shows. “Is there anyone in modern art to match Iqbal Geoffrey?” asked Sir Norbert Lynton.
