Kasha Vande

Franco-American Kasha Vande grew up in Upstate New York renovating old houses with her architect father and studying classical violin at the Eastman School of Music. She earned her Masters in Architecture from Tulane University, New Orleans and then left the US for sojourns in Hong Kong, Paris, and Abu Dhabi as a Project Manager before landing in Pondicherry, India in 2001. A concept designer and project co-coordinator at heart, she opened Kasha Ki Aasha, a gallery cafe in 2004, before initiating Pondy ART in 2012 to build awareness of the issues challenging India today through large scale photography exhibitions in public space.
