Katja Pratschke, born 1967 in Frankfurt am Main. She is a media artist, curator and since 2006 she has organised photofilm seasons with Gusztáv Hámos with whom she has collaborated since 1998. Her artistic projects include: Natural Born Digital (video, 1998); Transposed Bodies (video, installation, book, 2002); Rien ne va plus (film, 2005); Fiasco (film, 2010); Hidden Cities (film, installation, 2012); Potential Space (film, installation, 2014). Her films were shown a.o. at Tate Modern London, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid, Triennale der Photographie Hamburg, 63th Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia. She received various awards and grants: German Short Film Award, travel grant of the Hessische Kulturstiftung, Artist-in-Residence Venice and Istanbul.
