Kavita Shah


Bio

Kavita Shah is a visual artist, educationist, founder member of Chhaap – Foundation for Printmaking Trust, and a board member of Res Artis. She works as an Associate Professor in College of Architecture. Shah has received many awards and participated in national exhibitions, like Triennial-India and Bharat Bhavan Print Biennial. She has given talks in MPCVA, NGMA Mumbai and Impact 5, Tallinn/Estonia. Shah was Artist-in-Residence in Finland and Italy, and worked in Atelier in Paris as well as at Robert Blackburn’s Printmaking Workshop, USA. She has compiled several international print portfolios: Footprints, Ganjifa, Snakes and Ladders and Chess. Footprint was shown in Southern Graphic Council, Kansas and Ganjifa was shown at Impact 6 and University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. Shah holds a Masters degree in Printmaking.
