Prof. Dr. Lidia Varbanova has professional experience as consultant, educator, researcher and project manager in over 60 countries. Her portfolio focuses on strategy, policy development, entrepreneurship, innovations, organisational development and online technologies, with a special emphasis on arts, culture and creative industries. Lidia has been permanent and visiting professor in prominent universities and training centers in Europe and Canada and has received a number of distinguished awards, among them: Dragan Klaic European award for excellence in teaching, FULBRIGHT Fellowship, Japan Foundation Fellowship, NATO Fellowship. Her latest books are: International Entrepreneurship in the Arts (2016) and Strategic Management in the Arts (2012), published by Routledge. Lidia is an internationally acclaimed conference speaker and an active member of several international professional associations. Currently she is Professor at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Studies in Sofia, regular visiting Professor at the University of Arts in Belgrade and offers masterclasses with the University of British Columbia. Lidia is a member of the UNESCO Expert Facility for the implementation of the 2005 Convention on Cultural Diversity and external evaluator for the European Commission Programmes Erasmus+ , Horizon 2020 and H2020 Widespread. She is also involved in practical projects – her new initiative is Kamenov House for Creative Thinking: an authentic place for artists and academia to create or hatch a new idea in a beautiful rural environment
