Bio

Lubna Shaheen has worked in arts and culture, entertainment, and media industries for over a decade. She is a founding member of both a music festival in Arunachal Pradesh and a regional restaurant in Delhi. The Ziro Festival of Music has evolved into the Woodstock of the North East, where music and ethical tourism come together. The Toddy Shop, apart from, being a critically-acclaimed and award-winning restaurant, used to be an arts and culture hub that hosted interactions with stellar artists and writers, musicians, and comedians. Besides having helped create these two institutions, she has also worked as a consultant on other artist residency programmes and festivals such as Basar Confluence + Artist Residency programme, Orange Festival of Adventure and Music, Songs and Dances of the Northeast and Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day. A trained photojournalist, she is currently wrapping up her first photo book, The Sickhouse Stories.
