Manasi Karthik, a student at Gaia University, is engaged in a long-term ethnographic project in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve in the political economy of alcohol in adivasi society. She is currently based between Gudalur, HD Kotte and Wayanad where she is documenting land rights issues and associated social movements
