Najeebullah Farzad
Bio
Najeebullah Farzad has been a cultural activist for the past 11 years. He started his career as a photojournalist and blogger in Afghanistan. His photographs have been displayed in many exhibitions in Afghanistan, the Netherlands, and the US. He was also nominated as one of the top ten photographers in the 3rd Eye Photo Awards. Recently Najeebullah participated as Asia Culture House Representative to the United Religions Initiative’s 8th National Assembly in Ajmer, India. He has organised up to 55 artistic exhibitions and at least 100 cultural and poetic events in the last 11 years, including many advocacy events. He has also written short stories and poems. His first novel Ghowghay Eshq, a 250-page-long Persian love story, was published by Asia Culture House. He is currently managing a project that aims to identify forgotten/vulnerable local dances in Afghanistan. He has also worked on Creative Muses of Afghanistan which is a painting festival.
