Prasad Shetty is an urbanist based in Mumbai. He is a founder member of the Collective Research Initiatives Trust. He also works as a Secretary to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region – Heritage Conservation Society and Environment Improvement Society and as an Expert Member to the Dadra–Nagar Haveli Planning & Development Authority. His work involves research and teaching on contemporary Indian urbanism, including architectural practices, archiving post liberalization developments and entrepreneurial practices, and investigations into mapping processes. His current research involves understanding ‘property’ and its complexities in the city. Shetty has studied Architecture and Urban Management and is a Visiting Faculty at the Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture, Mumbai.
