Ranjana Dave is an artist and writer. Her practice, emerging from her movement training in Odissi and her writing, unfolds at the intersection of text and movement. Recent performance work includes Age Sex Location (asl), 2020. Ranjana is programmes director at Gati Dance Forum, where she edits the annual performance journal Indent. She worked on developing a curriculum for a master’s programme in dance practice with colleagues at Gati, teaching on the MA Performance Practice (Dance) programme at Ambedkar University Delhi. Her work has appeared in Firstpost, The Hindu, Scroll, Time Out, Asian Age, Indian Express, and Marg Magazine, among other publications. She curated and annotated an online archive of dance video at Pad.ma (Public Access Digital Media Archive). She is the co-founder of Dance Dialogues, a Mumbai-based initiative that connected the local dance community to provocative and diverse ideas, individuals and institutions. Ranjana has curated conferences for the IGNITE! Dance Festival and Indent. She co-curated the performing arts track at The Goa Project (2015), and was the dance curator for Serendipity Arts Festival (2018). www.ranjanadave.com
