Rumi is a Mumbai based artist, sculptor and an independent researcher. She has been interrogating the subject of identity politics and Dalit  visual art practices, and is in process of archiving them. She completed her applied arts from Sophia Polytech and  PG in Modern and Contemporary Indian art and curatorial studies from Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai.

Her two solo-shows ‘Invisible-Connections’ and ‘Sediment’ in Mumbai, reflected queries of Anthropocene, relating Earth-human-culture accord.

Humanism, as a core inquiry informs her towards her ontological perceptions of existence.

She’s keen to acquaint herself with forms of critical writing, curation and artistic practices.
