Bio

Salma Jamal Moushum is the Research and Planning Coordinator of Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts, currently working mostly with collaborative and site-specific art projects. As part of the organisation, she has managed multiple art projects including ‘In-Site’, ‘Future is Handmade’ and ‘Land-Art’. She has been associated with Chhobir Haat, a public art movement in Dhaka since 2005. Before joining Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts, she worked with Peace Research Organization of Oslo as a data analyst for 5 years. She recently visited Documenta 14 and Sculpture Project Munster under the auspices of Goethe Institute and Samdani Art Foundation. She completed her graduation in English from Dhaka University in 2003 and later obtained a PG Diploma in Peace and Reconciliation Studies from Coventry University, UK in 2010. Her research interests include socially engaged art, collaborative art practice, and artistic activism.
