Being brought up in a strong cultural environment of art, music and literature, Sridhar was initiated to Yakshagana in early childhood by his grandfather Late KeremaneShambhu Hegde and attained training in Yakshagana for more than 8 years. Since then he has been learning under his Father KeremaneShivanandaHegde and performing all over India with hisMela -artists troupe. He did his Bachelors in Science from Bangalore University and has worked in several science research labs. He also learntKathak under the guidance of Guru Dr. Maya Rao and completed a Diploma in Choreography from NIKC, Bangalore which gave him newperspectives for direction an choreography of his own art form. He has conducted numerable socio-cultural activities(like national art festival, programs for school children, gurukula and dance music researchetc) alongside Yakshagana performances. He received a Scholarship for Young Artists by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and is also been partof Yakshagana costume and regional temple music documentation project led by Shaale.com.
