Bio

Born in Kolkata, Simrin currently lives and works in Milan, Italy and New Delhi, India. She earned her MFA & BFA in Painting, from College of Art, New Delhi. Simrin then moved on to do Sculpture at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. She is the recipient of the French Government Scholarship & Artist-in-Residence Programme 2007-2008. She has also received a National Scholarship by the Dept. of Culture, Govt of India, 2004-2006, the Nokia Arts Award Asia Pacific in 2000-2001, and an artist residency as well as scholarship (2000-2001) in Seoul, Korea.
