Sukaina Husain is an art historian by training. She is particularly interested in the practices of looking and the philosophies of perception in South Asian visual culture. Her critical interests are an extension of her academic work – at present, she is exploring the processes of looking and criticality in the contemporary art of South Asia. She earned her undergraduate and Master’s degrees in the History of Art from the University of Edinburgh. Sukaina was Critic-in-Residence for the Peers residency in 2018.
