Tathagata Paul
Bio
Tathagata Paul (b. 1995) is a self-taught artist living and working in Kolkata, West Bengal. Paul works with traditional mediums like charcoal, acrylics to create an amalgamation of representational and abstract art. His works revolve around hyper-realism, presented in a contemporary style. Paul’s large-scale artworks take on the themes of despair, suffering, alienation, identity, depression and other human experiences. He’s influenced by various artists like Kit King, Maja Ruznic, Mark Rothko. His work is held in a number of private collections. He has been a part of some group exhibitions in some galleries at Kolkata. He has worked with Brustro by Creative Hands as an art educator, and has also collaborated with other various projects with Brustro, Creative Hands and Cretacolor (Austria).
