Vrushali Dhage

Bio

Vrushali Dhage is an art critic, curator, and independent researcher in Art History. She curated a show at the NCPA, Mumbai in 2006, on the tribal art of the Meenas (Rajasthan). This project included a detailed iconographic study of the wall and floor paintings of the Meenas. In the capacity of an arts administrator, she also organised a Residency Programme for artists and critics at The Guild, Mumbai, in 2009. Vrushali holds two Master’s degrees, one in Economics from the University of Mumbai and the other in Visual Arts, Art History, and Aesthetics from the Majaraja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She also earned her PhD in Economic Globalisation and Contemporary Indian Art from the latter institution, where she worked as a Teaching Assistant for several years.
