Aaj bhi wahi sob hota raha

Resulting from my encounter with Patna, and Bihar, this text came to my mind as a reaction to the city, which seemed to me as if in a time capsule unconnected, unrelated, wallowing in it’s own time as if the city did not see me and did not bother about what happened outside of itself.

The work was executed on the Ganga at Gai Ghat (Cow Ghat) where the Gandhi Setu (Gandhi bridge) anchors itself to Patna.

The three big G’s of India!

(Was it because of these that the city is what it is?)

Making an intervention; an attempt to leave a question in the minds of the people of Patna, the text “aaaj bhi wahi sab hota raha” was floated on the river Ganges starting at Gai Ghat from the Gandhi Setu going upstream along the vast number of Patna’s ghats and them downsteam along the ghats again. This exercise was repeated all day.

Then the text as a banner was put up at the site of the Khoj workshop at Dheegha as part of the open day of the workshop.
