There is a plethora of opinions on the political future of the conglomerate of Jammu and Kashmir. Trapezium is a game that uses literary narrative devices, tropes of gameplay and storytelling to question mainstream narratives found in media and within popular culture about Kashmir. This game abstracts the map of Kashmir into a trapezium shaped puzzle, with pieces that reveal various interesting stories from each district and region of the valley. Through the game, players are not only introduced to the fascinating cultural lives of the various people living in Kashmir, but also their everyday experience of occupation and rule of the Army. A serious issue is introduced through means of playful interaction, making a frank dialogue possible amongst players.
