Khoj is delighted to invite you to the opening of A Trilogy of Environmental Trials on 13 December, presented as part of the Invitations programme for the sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, at Space, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kochi, Kerala.
A Trilogy of Environmental Trials brings together a three-part project developed between 2016–2023, conceived by Khoj International Artists’ Association and Zuleikha Chaudhari, in collaboration with Advocate Anand Grover (first two chapters) and Advocate Harish Mehla (third chapter).
The exhibition features works by: Kedar Dhondhu Thukral & Tagra Shweta Bhattad Randeep Maddoke
Structured as staged hearings involving lawyers and judges, the exhibition assembles petitions and testimonies that examine how environmental loss might be understood, represented, or measured. It positions art as evidence and artists as witnesses, asking: What role can art play in producing knowledge about ecological interdependence? Can artistic practices articulate the complex ecological, cultural, economic, historical, and political relationships that shape our world — and can these narratives hold weight within judicial contexts?
The exhibition will remain on view till 31st March 2026.
