This session, What Makes Research Feminist? was facilitated by Maitreyi Misra from The Square Circle Clinic, NALSAR University of Law (formerly Project 39A, NLU Delhi). Drawing from two of her essays published on The Third Eye—one on her work with death row prisoners, and the other on mental health in prisons—Maitreyi guided participants through the principles of feminist research methodology.

The session was a reflection on how feminist thinking can shape our understanding of crime, justice, and research practice. It also opened up creative possibilities between the rigour of litigation and mitigation, introducing care, vulnerability, and criticality as vital tools of feminist research.
