Diya Bannerjee


Bio

Diya is an alumna of University College London and the Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC), Jamia Millia Islamia. She has worked as a television documentary producer with Times Now and as a senior journalist with Times of India – covering human interest and unique development stories. Currently, Diya works in the international development sector as a communication expert. Part of her work is to use films and shorts to regularly highlight the debates in the development sector. She has been a recipient of a number of research and creative fellowships such as Charles Wallace, Asha-Stanford and the UNDP Human Development Media Fellowship. Diya likes to travel, do portrait photography, spend time with her dogs, and use social media to channelise meaningful discussions and fight misogyny.
