Monkhor Erdenebayar (“Bayar”) was born in 1968 in Baruun-Urt, Mongolia. He had a formal art education at the Fine Arts College and Fine Art Institute, Ulaanbaatar, from which he graduated in 1987 and 1996 respectively. His art education embraced two very different methodologies: the Soviet and a more Western-oriented curriculum.
