Jeanne Berbinau Aubry
Bio
Jeanne Berbinau Aubry’s work questions natural, chemical and mechanical phenomena. Since graduating from la Villa Arson (Nice, FR) in fine arts in 2015, she carries on developing an experimental sculpture and installation practice, in which the study of matter and its potential distortion occupies a fundamental place.
Having been a member of the artist-run-space La Station, housed in a former slaughterhouse of the city of Nice, she took part in various exhibition projects, mainly in France. She also participated in residency programs, such as in the Himalayas in India (2015), at the Villa Medici in Rome (2016), at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2019) and the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht (2022-2023).
Since 2015, her researches have been sponsored by institutions like the Bernar Venet Foundation, the Côte d’Azur University, the Fiminco Foundation, the Région Île-de-France, and her work has been exhibited in art centers and galleries such as the Centre National d’Art Contemporain de la Villa Arson (Nice,FR), Le Point Commun (Annecy,FR), Galleria Doris Ghetta (Ortisei, IT), la Friche de la Belle de Mai (Marseille,FR), le Salon de Montrouge, la Galerie Bubenberg, and l’Espace Topographie de l’Art (Paris,FR) and After After Art Space (Brussels,
