Malgorzata Kuciewicz
Bio
Born 1976 in Gdynia/Poland.
Malgorzata Kuciewicz works and lives in Warsaw/Poland. She studied architecture in Warsaw, Montpellier/France and Tampere/Finland, and gained experience at the Berlage Instituut in Amsterdam/Netherlands and at EASA workshops (1995–2006).
She is the co-author of the projects Lifting The Curtain. Central European Architectural Networks, Collateral Event at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Italy (2014), and Oskar Hansen. Open Form, research by exhibitions design at the MACBA Barcelona, Spain (2015), and at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto/Portugal (2015).
She is the cofounder and member of the design group Centrala and the designer or co-designer of numerous interiors, structures, exhibitions and projects for stimulating reflection on urban spaces. She is involved in research, popularization and initiatives to preserve and revitalize the valuable heritage of architecture and urbanism. Since 2012 she is running the »Warsaw Critical Tourism Project« guided tours, workshops, publications of a guide/inventory, photographical projects, and lectures.
MalgorzataKuciewicz holds various awards and distinctions from architectural and urban planning competitions.
