P Madhavan is a documentary photographer and photography teacher with a background in physics from the University of Madras. Through an exploration into the art and science of the 170-year-old practice of daguerreotype photography, Madhavan studies the artistic nuances of chemical-based image-making as compared to computerized digital image-making.
