Pratik Sagar
Bio
Pratik pursued his Bachelors and Masters in Painting from College of Art, New Delhi. He prefers to shift between mediums with an inter-disciplinary approach. Recently Pratik did an art performance titled “Kabir ki Chai” during ‘Japan-India & Bangladesh performance art Exchange Project 2011’ organized by NIPAF, and coordinated by performance artists such as Sheiji Shimoda (Japan)/ Inder Salim (India) held in Delhi. In 2010, he exhibited in ‘the Story of the MULTIPLES’ a new media exhibition curated by Amit Mukhopadhyay at Emami Chisel Art Gallery, Kolkata and ‘Recent of Baroda’ curated by Mansi Dhiman at Art Konsult, Delhi. Pratik has also participated in ‘RENEWED INTENSITY’ a Public Art & Site-Specific Installation Workshop curated by artist Jagannath Panda at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. In 2009, Pratik received the M. F. Hussain Award by College of Art, Delhi, and also participated in PEERS 2009 a student art residency at KHOJ, New Delhi. Alongside, Pratik had one of his paintings selected by LVMH, a Tribute to Picasso Award France 2009, and some of his drawings were selected and exhibited the second Bangkok Biennale for Print & Drawing Exhibition, Thailand 2009. He also initiated a public-art project:, titled ‘Read CAREfully’ in Vadodra (Gujrat) in January 2009.
