Bio
Pratik Anil Sutar (b.1998) is a visual artist and sculptor. He completed his diploma in GD Art, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and recently accomplished a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the prestigious Sir JJ School of Art. Hailing from the historic village of Nesari in the Kolhapur district, Pratik’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in his family’s legacy of craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from his family’s artisanal lineage, Pratik infuses his creations with memories and everyday experiences, resulting in pieces that are an ideal balance of tradition and innovation. Each sculpture that he meticulously crafts, demonstrates his unwavering commitment to the art form.
Pratik’s work transcends mere aesthetics; it serves as a narrative that bridges the past with the present, inviting viewers to join in an appreciation of the artistic process of his formation. Having exhibited his work at the Students Biennale (2021) and being honoured with the prestigious government gold medal during his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) studies, Pratik’s artistic ability has been recognized and celebrated. His participation in the Students Biennale workshop (2018) and in state art exhibitions further showcases his talent and commitment to his artistic practice
