Rama Kshirsagar has been a practitioner of Bharatanatyam from a very young age and hails from the city of Pune. Her dream was to learn authentic Bharatanatyam, so she went to the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, an institution that teaches Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music, and studied there for six years. Growing up in an environment where they learned performance management skills, she realized that she enjoys managing the artists & audience more than being on stage. After post-graduating from the Kalakshetra Foundation, she took up an internship at the Shreya Nagarajan Singh Arts Development Consultancy in Chennai to gain some experience working in an arts-driven space. Eventually, she was promoted to the position of Arts Program Coordinator.
