Sujay Mukherjee

Bio
Sujay Mukherjee is a pedagogue and a printmaker. Since 2012, he has been associated with Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Graphics–Printmaking. He is interested in forms of printmaking methods coupled with an interest in expanding its ontological boundaries beyond the confines of the artist studio. Mukherjee is presently exploring printmaking as a performative act and developing it as a public art practice, which he hopes will manifest as The Printed Mural project. Mukherjee was awarded the Charles Wallace Scholarship in 2012. He has exhibited and participated in residencies/workshops at FICA; Vadehra Art Gallery, Delhi; International Public Art Festival, Nagaland; Water Bodies: an Indo-Korean Arts Residency (Chennai); No Win Situation in Germany; Gallery Experimenter in Kolkata; Gallery Sumukha in Bangalore; Khoj Studios in New Delhi, among others.
