Vishnu Prasad’s interventions imagine re-structuring the idea of creating art. To some it might be strange that his practice does not have a recurrent medium, but his practice forces the viewers to pause and think, it is always an intervention. His practice has been transitional through the mediums it encounters in hope of finding the possibilities and the current relevance of the particular. Most of his work have turned digital as the situation demanded. It extended from site- specific project rooms to gifs and to not being entirely of commonly defined visual practice in the later stages. This approach has opened up, for him, various possibilities and new direction. The parallels between the quality of socio-political events and the functioning of modes of visual communication are continually pursued in his practice in order to understand the time we are living in. Vishnu is currently doing his MFA under the Department of Art and Performing Arts at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi.
