“கருவி” பற்றி யோசிக்கிறேன். கீழடி போன்ற அகழாய்வு இடங்களில் எப்படிப்பட்ட கருவிகளை பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள்? பாசிச பா.ஜ.க. கீழடியின் உன்மைகளை அடக்கினால் தான் “இந்தியா”-வின் வரலாற்றை ஒரு இந்து வரலாற்றாகப் போலித்தனத்துடன் அமைக்கமுடியும். இங்கு பா.ஜ.க.-வின் கருவி “ஆரிய மாயை” … வரலாற்றின் உன்மைகள் மறைக்கப்பட்டால் நீதியை நோக்க நம் கருவிகள் என்னவாக இருக்கலாம்? “இந்திய” நிலப்பரப்பின் உன்மை வரலாற்றுகள் ஆதிக்க அமைப்புகளின் சான்றளிக்கும் முறைகளில் அமராது. ஆதிக்க அமைப்புகளின் ஆவணப்பயிர்ச்சிகள் விளிம்புநிலை மக்களின் “குழப்பப்பாதைகளை” 2, “நிலையாமைகளை” 3 தன் வடிவமைப்புகளில் சிற்பிக்க முடியாது. ஏனெனில், இதனால், அதன் கருவி ஆதிக்கம். அதன் கருவி ஒருமைப்படுதல். அதன் கருவி வன்முறை.

i’m thinking about the idea of the ‘instrument’. what kind of instruments are used at archaeological sites like keezhadi? it is only through the suppression of the truths of keezhadi that fascist bjp fabricates a false “indian” history that is indigenously hindu. here, bjp’s tool is the “aryan illusion” 1… if the truths of history are obscured, what might be our tools in pursuit of justice? the true histories of the ‘indian’ subcontinent do not conform to brahmanical, patriarchal, cisheteronormative, colonial evidentiary protocols. normative measurements of evidence-validity cannot accommodate or make-conform the “messiness” 2 and “ephemerality” 3 of marginalized lives; why because, and because of this, the normative’s instrument is dominance. the normative’s instrument is homogenisation. the dominant’s instrument is violence.
